This little tripod serves its purpose: Hold my cam steady for night shots or video so I don’t have to. Now if only I could find a product to hold my subjects steady.
I gave it 4 stars because the screw for tightening the tripod is a little tricky in terms of how tight should it be but after playing with it for a little bit you’ll figure it out. The shipping was way more than the item cost though.

Brought the tripod as a Christmas gift for my cousin. I’m the type of person who doesn’t really like to look for the item at the store especially on the holiday seasons so I decided to buy it on amazon.com, which turns out to be very easy to buy. My cousin got the tripod and told me that she used it right away, which turned out a great gift.

The construction on this is nice and solid, but it does tip over easily. One of the first times I used it, I had it sitting on a table, and when someone got up from the table, it shook a little and fell over.
I wanted a cheap mini-tripod with a ball head so that I could position the camera at any angle. It works well for that, much better than the wire ones, where it’s hard to bend the wire into position.

Having trouble holding small digital camera? I ordered a couple of these and took feet off and inserted the tripod into a 6″ piece of 3/4 inch PVC pipe and put a end cap on it. Makes GREAT hand held camera holder. Reordered more.

This is a decent micro-tripod for its price, and it can hold a small camera pretty well. The rivet that attaches it to the camera is poorly designed, so be prepared to fumble for a while before you get it right and tight. Also, don’t expect it to hold anything big – not DSLR by any chance, but even a mid-sized camera (I have Fuji s8000fd) tends to fall down.
To sum up, it’s good for its price, but there are better products on the market even in this ultra-portable category. As I travel a lot and am a fan of night photo, I had to buy a better one.
