Received the battery very quickly and was pre-charged. Looks exactly like original for the Dell XPS M1330. Great low-priced alternative to buying directly from Dell.

I was surprised to see an original DELL battery since I was expecting a substitute. I paid about 1/4 the price compared to the price listed at Dell website. It has been performing well so far.

I bought this to replace my 1.5 year old 9-Cell XPS M1330 batteries. At first, I did some research to compare this battery with the ones sold by Dell. There wasn’t much information on the internet regarding DekCell batteries. DekCell is a battery manufacturer based in northern California near San Jose. I decided to try these out because the price was within my budget; these were $80+shipping while Dell sells their 9-cell for $180+tax+shipping.
Performance:
This DekCell battery is as good as the Dell-Branded ones made by Sanyo Corporation. I get roughly 4.5-5 hours out of it with WiFi on, screen dimmed, and moderate web-surfing. I am dual-booting Windows 7 RC 7100 and Windows Vista. I get about 20-35 minutes more with Windows 7. I think the new Operating System is much more efficient with managing windows resources compared to the bloated Vista.
Cons:
The only small problem with the battery I got is that the light indicator on the bottom is dysfunctional. I have to press very hard to get a read on the battery life. It only shows 3/5 lights regardless of how much i charge the battery…I don’t really mind because I can clearly see the battery life in my Windows Taskbar.

I hope this review helps someone that’s deciding on buying replacement batteries. Dell batteries are clearly overpriced.
