DONT BUY A LINKSYS ADAPTER!
Regarding the Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter by Linksys, their website made me want to give it a try. So I bought a few from Staples, Best Buy, and Amazon.
Supposedly, I would join the happy family drawn on the box. I was so upset though,
My old laptops’ built in wifi g card and n cards outperformed them in terms of speed and range 4*. And these are older model wifi adapters in my laptop! Fortunately, I got my refunds.
Trust me, Ill never fall for the baloney that Linksys cooks up AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN!
DONT BUY A LINKSYS ADAPTER! Youve been warned.

I installed my HP machine to connect Apple AirPort Extreme 11n Product with 5.4Ghz.
Works well, however signal reception is little bit weak. I founded two external antenna port when I tore off the case. If you can modify this, you can have better coverage.

If you have a 5Ghz router you may find that some of your computers do not come with the card to receive on this frequency. This adapter takes care of that problem. The adapter is easy to install. Plus, it comes with a wired base that connects to the desktop. This base allows you to easily move the adapter as needed to capture a good signal. I have had no problem with this device since I installed it a month ago.

This item provided great range and was easy to setup and use. But it physically breaks in two extremely easily. That’s a problem.

Good product, good price! Easy enough to install and works like a charm! I would highly recommend buying one for laptop uses. The dual band is also a plus.
