Bought this to use my 50″ plasma as a monitor on occasion. Too bad about the 1″ range on the thing. This turned out to be a waste of money for me. Too bad I threw out the box immediately after I opened the product. I assumed this would be a quality product like my other Logitech devices. They sure do make a good remote control though.

Good product for the price! The Logitech MK300 would be completely satisfactory for me if my work did not involve precision pointing with the mouse. The keyboard is fine, with decent key snap action, and the wireless range is adequate for my workspace, but the mouse is too imprecise for programming with LabVIEW, which requires clicking on *just* the right spot. The mouse is also a bit too small and light to be comfortable to use for LabVIEW programming.
But the MK300 works fine for creating documents and spreadsheets, email, and web browsing. I’m still on my first set of batteries, so no complaint there, either.

I’ve had my MK300 for the last week and have been very pleased with the mouse/keyboard combo. Overall a great product for the money.

I have complained about the ‘wires’ behind my desk. Finally took the giant step and did some research or lots of it, and selected ‘Logitech Wireless Desktop Mk 300′. I can’t praise this enough. Both the keyboard and mouse live up to the description and more. It looks great, too.

I pulled this out of the box, put the batteries in the keyboard, plugged the receiver in and waited about a minute for the install to complete. That was it. I did not have to use the install disk or anything special.
It works right out of the box. The keyboard uses 2 AAA batteries which are included. Both the keyboard and the mouse are very lightweight. I really like the keyboard. The keys are solid, rather quiet and depress easily. I can type very fast on it. The mouse is a little sensitive and it took a few minutes to get used to it, but I like that too as now it does not take much wrist motion for mouse operations.
There are not a lot of fancy keys on the keyboard and the mouse is a standard mouse. Perfect for me, I never use all the extra functionalities anyway. THey get in my way. This is a great basic set!
