After I finished my new family room audio/video system, a friend came over and spent some time listening to music. I commented that I sure loved the sound and wish I could have it in other parts of the house. He told me that another guy he knows even had music playing down hallways and in his bathrooms. I asked how he did that and if it sounded good. He told me he had smaller, in-ceiling speakers with “dual voice coils” that played a stereo signal from each speaker.
I checked the Martin Logan website and guess what? Martin Logan makes just such a speaker. It’s the Martin Logan Helos 20 and I bought 6. My friend came over on the week-end and we installed them down the hallways and even one in the main floor bathroom. Wow, now I have music all over the first floor and I’m never without that great Martin Logan sound.

I thought this speaker had a tinny shallow sound and was unacceptable. I let friends listen also all giving it the thumbs down. Bummer

These speakers sound great with good bass for the size. Easy to install with included templates. Speakers also look great when installed. I am using these speakers for left and right rear channels in my living room. For my house they are perfect. I have an open floor plan and the ceiling is the only option for my rear speakers. I don’t know if these would be great speakers for front channel surround sound applications, but for rear and multi-room applications they are definitely a great fit. After about a week I put the speakers through the paces and they performed great. I am very pleased with the purchase of these speakers and will recommend them for others.

I just had these bundled in my Living room and in the Kitchen and I am already excited about the party this weekend.
You just have to bundle the couple of wires and it is quite easy to setup.
I am waiting for folks to hear it when they are in my kitchen.
If you are looking for bigger ceiling mounts, try this – Its damn good for the living room!

They were easy to install with all the required templates and nice push button connectors to just slip the wires into. They sound absolutely awesome with true sound reproduction.
