I educate my two boys at home, ages 5 and 6. We’ve been working on learning about coin values all year, using real money. It wasn’t until they played this game that my 6 year-old has finally got it! He can now make a plan for adding coins to get a total value. I could see he was getting it as he’s telling his brother what to do while playing the game. I took my cue and got the money back out. This was a great addition to what we were already doing and at a great price too! I love the fact that the child can control the difficulty level at any time. They know when it’s too easy or too hard and can find the “just right” spot!

This item arrived before the ETA. I was surprised when I received it. Works fine but cannot have it on full screen on my windows 7 (and in the vista computer). My kid likes it very much since they have been using it at school.

I have used the Edmark titles in my own computer classes and find them very useful.
Pluses:
Colorful characters
Progressive lessons and skill level
similar interface for the other Edmark titles (Carnival Countdown, Number heroes, Calculating crew)
Negatives:
Some activities require touchy mouse controls
