Mini-DVI to DVI-D Adapter Cable for Apple Mac
- Mini-Dvi Male Connector To Dvi Female Connector
Product Description
Use this cable adapter to connect your 12-inch PowerBook G4, Intel-based iMac, MacBook Intel-based laptop, Intel-based Xserve, or 2009 Mac Mini to an external monitor with DVI-D input. Plug the Mini-DVI end into your Mac, and connect the DVI-D connector to a DVI-D cable.
Helpful Notes: This device is intended to function more as an adapter than as a cable, meaning its short length WILL NOT reach from your Mac to the monitor. It will need to be used with a DVI-D cable (sold separately).

This adapter works great… when I first got it I thought it was not the right one, since I didn’t have my Cinema Display 20″ in front of me, but when I got home and tried it, it worked PERFECTLY!!!
I think it’s just a matter of making sure what’s the adapter you really need.

I don’t know about you but I find paying upwards of thirty-dollars for a video adapter to be inexplicably expensive (other than greed that is). I’ve bought my fair share of name brand Apple gear as well as some OEM versions when the price difference is large. This is one example where the OEM is more than suitable. It performs admirably and allows me to port my video to an external monitor at 1920×1080. I’ve been using this adapter for a few months and have had no issues with it. If you want to pay a lot less and get exactly the same adapter as the Apple original, this one won’t leave you disappointed.

This thing works great for spanning my imac out to an external monitor. For the price, it is definitely worth picking up over the apple version. The quality is somewhat less solid, but it does the trick.
