I bought this rather expensive paper and waited for it to be forwarded to me overseas since I cant get it here. It did not work with my inkjet, the ink literally washes off under running water. Too expensive to mail back for refund. Back to using paper in a ziploc.

This paper is quite expensive, but very high quality. Waterproof, and the ink doesn’t run. I printed off some topos and they look great.

The black ink from my Canon printer (#5 and #8 PGBK cartridges) runs like crazy under a faucet, after printing on this paper, even after several hours of “drying”.
Sorry, but that makes it useless for my purpose — taking nautical charts on a kayak deck — and, I imagine for anyone who needs true waterproof printing.
I cannot speak for other inks.

4 1/2 stars really. I use this paper to create custom maps for hiking/camping. It works as advertised, it’s waterproof and sweat proof, it’s doesn’t even really get soggy, just wipe the water off of it. It folds really well and cuts well too. My local REI store has a map printed on this paper sealed in a water bottle with a date from over a year ago on it, there is no fading and no running of ink.
Here’s where it loses a half star. My only complaint is that there is no information on what printer settings to use when printing with this paper. They should have a listing of various printer manufacturers and the correct paper type to select when printing. My Epson 1400 has 9 different paper types to choose from! I have had good luck using the “Premium Presentation Paper Matte” setting but that was a lucky guess on my part.

I am a Christmas tree grower and we wholesale a few hundred trees per year to health food stores. We print our own tags to explain the unique qualities (freshness, sustainably grown, regionally marketed, etc), and the tags need to withstand the weather on the lot for a little while (though much shorter than most trees stand on the lot, as we cut just prior to delivery).
We print on our home office HP and Canon inkjets and have had no trouble. The reviewer who said the ink washed off must be a competitor, b/c we have found that after the first few minutes, it remains bright in any weather or water conditions. Doesn’t tear either which is very important. We have tried the IGage waterproof paper and it did pretty well but faded slightly more quickly and the ripped more easily – but given that it is half price it may be a better buy for some situations.
