The unit is perfect for what I wanted it for, good music in the garage while I am tinkering. It is not the greatest sound machine, but it will do very well for my needs. I looked a long time to find one with detachable speakers so I could add other speaker units I have to the system. The only mild complaint, you can’t turn up the volume enough so that the people down the block can enjoy it, too.
I did not like the Outlet telling me to leave favorable comments with Amazon but to basically shut up if I didn’t like the unit. The first unit was defective but it was immediately replaced at the Outlet’s (postage) cost.

I purchased this item so i could listen to my mp3 player on bigger speakers. I finaly got the product and was trying to plug my music player in some how and couldnt find some where to plug it in. When i finaly found some where to plug it in (the back of the speaker) it doesnt even play at a volume you can hear it was lower than a whisper. So i plug it back into the stereo and it worked just fine and was super loud.
In short if you are looking for something to hook your mp3 up to then dont buy this product. If not buying for that reason then go on ahead and buy it.
I guess i should have gotten the cheaper Coby system i knew was for mp3 players. But it just didnt have the cd player and stereo.

Stay away form this item. My unit arrived with an inoperative CD player and remote control. The FM radio has significant drift. The item itself is very flimsy. Way to many corners were cut with the design and manufacture of this item.
