I bought this heater for my wife a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, one of the feet broke almost immediately. My wife propped the heater on the broken foot and since she had a hardwood floor it wasn’t much of a problem. Now I’m repurposing it for my office, but I have a carpeted floor, and I’m a little more concerned. I did a few internet searches, and I can not locate a Web site for the manufacturer to see about ordering a replacement foot. I did see that there’s an identical product marketed under the “Dayton” brand name, but no luck searching there either.
Does anyone know how I can order a replacement foot?

We bought this heater for my wife’s tiny office, put it under the desk and it barely heats the area. It’s flimsy feeling, with no timer setting, so you have to turn it off at night, a pain. Spend a little more and get the Delonghi, works great and has a 24hr. timer.

I bought this after reading the review saying it got a 12′ x 12′ from 10C to 19c. On high the only heat I feel is if I put me hand 6 inches from it. I left it in the bathroom for hours and couldn’t even tell it was on until put my hand near it. May work well if you put it under a desk where you’re working but not for bathrooms.

It’s FREEZING where I work (high rise, NYC office building) — winter and summer it’s a meat locker. I went through multiple space heaters but was continually tripping the circuit breaker in my office building (and getting nastier and nastier memos from office services and building management). Needless to say there is more than one of us that have space heaters on the same circuit!
I had to try something else and started doing research and stumbled upon this heater — other reviewers said it was the perfect under desk heater and did not trip the breakers. They were right! It fits easily under the desk and because of its flat profile, it tucks out of the way (just in case you need to hide it!). It makes no noise (also in case you need to hide it from snoopy building management people…). Unlike a space heater it doesn’t blast out super heated air, then switch off until you’re cold … then blast out super heated air again. This just gives off a nice radiant glow. If you should happen to touch it, you won’t burn yourself either. Best of all, I haven’t tripped the circuit breaker after using it every day during a very, very cold sub-freezing month outside (and constant below-70 degrees inside this office building). Don’t hesitate to buy this heater for an office – you’ll be warm and no one will ever know!

I thought I purchased this “NewAir” model but the one I actually received is the “Dayton 1VNX3 Electric Oil Filled Space Heater With Analog Thermostat” according to the item/photo posted on Amazon. Anyhow, I’m OK with that since it is working well for my knees. You want to get this heater if there isn’t much room under your desk and other radiant heaters are simply too hot/too big. With this heater turned to half heat your kneecaps can touch the panel with pants and not get burned, but you will feel gentle heat coming through your pants. BTW, I am in Southern California and this review is based on using this heater in a 50-60F environment, my office will turn the central heating on if temperature dips quite a bit below 60F so the warmth for upper body is taken care of by central heating. Where I need the warmth the most is the kneecaps area and it works just right at around 6-8″ below average kneecaps height, and I can feel the heat by placing my knees 2-3″ away from the panel which is sufficient in my environment. Then I can move my knees further away, or closer, accordingly. However, if you are expecting a lot of heat farther away from the panel, or if you live in a much colder area, or if you need heat for your upper body and surrounding area, then you need to get something more powerful like a regular room or area heater. This unit heats up a small and targeted area, and for my use it works well. The only downside I can see so far may be the plastic clip-on stands that are a bit weak if you are not careful with it. It can be knocked down with a slight kick because of its lightweight. But like everything else you should be the one in control of preventing it from happening. Otherwise, it works well for me.
