it was hard to unpacck but cutting the box made it simple.
it does make ice quickly, but a bigger ice bin would have been nice

Received as a gift and it stopped working after only (4) cycles – (1) HOUR! The dreaded “needs water” light came on and the water bin was full. This problem shuts down all ice production.
If you order this unit, I suggest you open it right away and test it or else you may miss the deadline to return it. Amazon’s full refund policy made it easy to order another mfg.

While camping in South Carolina, we couldn’t keep up with our icemaker in our rv….a neighbor
opened his rv storage area (outside access) and plugged in a NewAir Cooler, poured a pitcher
of water in and in less than 15 minutes, we were getting ice cubes and we didn’t run out
all week……….so we came home, found it on Amazon , ordered it and though we aren’t camping,
we have it on a table in our lower level and use it for all our ice cube needs, saving space
in our freezer by removing the ice bin and not using its icemaker and when we hit the road
again, we’ll just put it in our storage compartment and use it as needed!
So neat, so space saving, so glad we were turned towards NewAir!

Love this appliance for the RV. Doesn’t waste water, and ice is always available. Makes plenty to use for drinks and to keep the ice chest really cold. Plug it in outside the RV in the shade. The only sound is the ice cubes falling into the bin. Wish I had it long ago. Well worth the $$. Will ultimately pay for itself in ice we don’t have to buy.

We recently got a new Fridge with on the door ice, which makes half as much ice as our old one did. This unit is a great suppliment. It makes ice quickly. The unit is not refridgerated, and the capacity is small, so it is easiest to transfer ice to a bag in your freezer. The ice does freeze togeather once in the freezer, but is easily broken apart if you seal it in a plastic bag (just drop the bag on the floor to break ice apart).
I also had a problem with the blue adhesive residue, but does not seem to effect taste or anything.
You should note, the unit should be placed to the right of the sink, for easy water drainage (drain is on left side of unit), and unit can be the only thing opperating on an electrical outlet, which took some rearranging in our kitchen. We only have to run the unit once or twice a week, and it works great for us.
