I purchased 3 different Onkyo receivers. SR707 and 2 SR807. All were defective and customer service was terrible and no help. I had to call several times. Receivers only work with some cable boxes. Constant video problems that their service couldn’t figure out. Didn’t work with PS3.
The sound however was good and it looks nice. Just not worth the trouble.
I purchased a Sony and it works perfectly.

We included a home theatre room into our newly constructed home. The Onkyo receiver was the perfect complement to our Epson projector and Klipsch speakers. The order process was simple and shipping was right on schedule. We also utilized a second TX-SR707 and an Onkyo 100 watt per channel power amplifier for our living room and speakers throughout the inside and outside locations of the house.

Im upgrading from an Onkyo SR606 which i had for 2 years, this reciever is UNBELIVABLE, i installed 2 height speakers and the new processing modes and what not are really nice, THX Certified, Burr brown Dacs, cant ask for more
I had it for about 2 weeks now and i HIGHLY RECOMMEND this reciever.

The receiver was delivered on the date as was promised with free shipping. I am quite pleased with the product except I would have preferred it in silver to match my other components. There was no choice in color/style offered when I ordered it. The Onkyo products site does offer this model in silver or black. The automatic speaker alignment feature is great even though it does take some time to run. A variety of audio/video inputs and outputs, HDMI, S-Video, RCA, etc. The remote allows the listener to switch between numerous speaker configurations, sound selections for video, game or music components. The phono audio input was a big plus in selecting this receiver so I can continue to enjoy my vinyl albums. Great price for the quality, sound and remote control features that this receiver delivers. I recommend it highly.

I bought a TX-SR601 back in 2002 that has given me incredible service for many years. Decided to upgrade to the SR-707 and give the 601 to my 17 year old son (lucky boy!) I wanted more power, TrueHD and better DACs.
Once again I am blown away by the quality of this unit. It has breathed new life into my home theater and I find myself revisiting old music dvd’s to marvel in the difference. I am a hard sell as I am very picky about sound quality. Buy one!
