Ease of use is an important element in Panasonic’s products and the DMP-B15, with a three-hour rechargeable battery, is designed with that in mind. In addition to its use as a portable player, you can connect it to an HDTV via HDMI cable, and use it as a standalone Blu-ray Disc player. The player can also be connected to an HD-Audio compatible AV receiver with a home theater speaker system and enjoy movies with outstanding surround sound. To accommodate the traveler, the DMP-B15 offers an optional headrest mounting bracket for in-car use. Like all Panasonic Blu-ray players, the B15 features an SD Memory Card slot that allows the consumer to view and share digital photos, as well as HD video recorded on a SD card. For the short time I have used this player it works great and has exceptional picture quality. It will be a matter of time to determine if this portable device last long as all my previous portable DVD player which break after 6 – 12 months. The sound quality is the only negative but better than standard portable DVD players.

The quality of this Bluray player is outstanding. It straps to the back of the front car seats, which puts the screen at eye-level. It only accomodates one set of head phones. Two would be better. The price tag right now is very high, but if you want to treat your passengers to a high quality viewing experience, this is a product for you.

I bought this product in October and am thoroughly impressed with its picture clarity and sound clarity. Best of all I can carry my Bluray’s along and view it wherever I like. It is expensive but totally worth the buy if its portability you are looking for. Its got a whole host of features which I will test over a period of time. At this point of time I am happy to view my movies in Hi Def anywhere, anyplace anytime!!!

I bought this player the day it was released direct from Panasonic. This is a high quality device. Beautiful hi-rez screen, excellent build quality. The hard-wired internet connection allows you to stream youtube videos and view Pacasa slides in hi-rez. You can also playback DIVX rentals or purchased movies that you download on you PC and write to DVD. You can also update the firmware from the WEB.
I have been able to watch movies in the car with the 3 hour battery or the included 12V car adapter. I love the way the screen folds flat against the unit and then able to tilt up or down. All my friends are amazed at the high quality and the bright picture. Way to go Panasonic!!
PS, Panasonic is still trying to get me a date for the availability of the optional 6 HR. Battery.
