OMG! Loved it. Its accurate, clever and saves me from those annoying speed cameras. Driving 6 kids around and making sure getting them to soccer and all their practice on time is not easy.
Once I got the Phantomalert in my TomTom, no matter how much my kids get loud or distracting, the alert is loud and specific enough to let me know when I need to slow down and whats coming up ahead in advance so I can avoid getting an expensive ticket. Who can afforded a $100 ticket every time you get flashed? My husband has been laid off for months now and we are tight on money.. I think it is underhanded to nab people for going a few miles over and extorting money from them. I also like the alerts for the school zones. I wish all cars had it installed. I would feel my kids were safe near school. What they need is to also add “speed bump” alerts. Hate going over one when I not paying attention.

I give it A+++++++. 3 months and no traffic tickets for me..so far:). I know for sure it has saved me from several speed traps and red light camera tickets. As a truck driver, I am on the road all the time and having phantomalert on my GPS has made my driving a lot less stressful and safer. I can’t keep track of all the red light or speed camera locations. Who can? Some times the way you find out the speed limit has dropped from 65 to 45 is after you get pulled over. My garmin now alerts me of all those areas where cops like to set up speed traps. As soon as I hear “ALERT… speed trap area” I slow down make sure I m below the limit just in case trap is awaiting. let him tag some one else.. I can’t afford to get tickets and points. My livelyhood depends on it. I belive it is legal as it is not a radar detector. My only suggestion is they need to get more people to report enforecement locations. Especially the mobile speed camera locations and speed traps.

If you hate traffic tickets this is a must have for your GPS. Brilliant, simple and easy to use. It alerted me to several Speed Traps in VA and NYC and Speed Cameras in DC on a drive from Virgina to New York City over the last week already. Now I know where those pesky traps are. I was getting fed up and having a hard time keeping up with all the new cameras that kept on cropping up in Maryland and DC. This has solved my problem. I love the fact that my Garmin will alert me of a potential speed trap up ahead and usually there will be a cop waiting with his radar gun or speed camera van. No more costly surprises for me. I love my Garmin and I don’t drive without it anymore! Who knew a GPS could help you avoid traffic tickets.
Tip: Watch the easy tutorial video before downloading – trust me it will save you time. I recommend the $99.99 life time deal as you can share it with friends and family.
Complaint: More users need to report new trap locations.
Overall: Well done guys – great product/service!

While I expect this to be a worthwhile product in the long haul, it’s pretty annoying in the D.C./northern VA region (and likely elsewhere). Seems that because it is “user supported”, if anyone ever even THINKS they saw a speedtrap, it’s reflected with an alert, even if the cop was only there once, long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Also, most (all?) redlight cameras have been pulled from VA, but they still pop up as an alert.

I ordered the 9.99 a one month subscription of the phantom alert speed trap, red light database. I heard about this company a lot on television and that they stated they can help drivers avoid traffic tickets with a GPS. I was a little reluctant but after getting one too many camera tickets I purchased the cheapest $9.99 subscription for my GARMIN 750. I am usually not the type of a person who would come and add comments on products I have purchased but I was amazed on the accuracy of the product and the fact that they actually helped me avoid a ticket. In the one month that I have used it I know it has saved me from several tickets by alerting me to the dozen speed cameras in Maryland alone. I also drove to the beach with my GPS turned on last week and man was it nice to get the alerts for the speed traps. The advanced alert was very useful. On several instanced on route 50 on the way to Ocean city Maryland the alert for speed traps went off and sure enough there they were troopers waiting to nab someone. The alerts give you enough of a heads up to slow down and let someone else get busted. Of course some time the alerts go off and there are no cops. But over all I rather get the false alerts than no alert and get a ticket. My one month subscription is now up and I will definitely get the $99.99 life time. They have earned my business.
By the way, to the people who reported the speed traps on route 50, Thanks for saving me from a ticket or two.
