We bought this DVD player for a raod trip and it worked well. It kept the kids happy. The volume was loud enouth that they could hear over the road noise. The problem is that after owning it for three months the DVD player will no longer track. We put in a DVD and it just flashes “loading” on the screen. I though it was a really good price for dual screen DVD player but I guess now I know why.

We were in the process of moving so there were a lot of trips back and forth from the old house to the new house. The DVD player and 2nd screen worked fine for about a month or two. Then the 2nd screen stopped working – no picture, only sound. I would not recommend this product to anyone nor will I buy another Phillips brand product. I have had nothing but problems with the Phillips brand products that I have purchased. Best bet is to buy two portable DVD players. I have had good luck with Audiovox.

If your 2nd screen doesn’t work be sure to check the cable between the screens- it only works one way. Reverse it and see if it works.

Nice while it worked. Second screen broke after 4 months of mild-moderate use and Philips states they can’t replace it because they have no stock due to selling all of their product to retailers. I asked to speak with a supervisor who told me they can do a “buy back” for $116. We paid $179. This is our second Philips DVD that has broken so we won’t be purchasing this brand again.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed this product. Bought it for a cross-country road trip with our toddlers. Loved it! The remote made it super easy to control functions from the front seat, the sound quality was good, never had a problem with the connection wires, didn’t notice a difference in screen quality, and they stay on even with the car turned off! The only tricky thing is the exact timing and process of button pushing necessary to make the second screen show video. Other than that, what’s all the fuss??
