Bought this one few days ago… returned it on anther day.
the sound is great, has the bass, it’s clear, really clear. but i just didn’t like the design, it didn’t fit my ears well, just looked like i would fall it, the button is set right on the ear-plugs, hmm, I didn’t feel good with that, made me feel just like — not sure if I have pushed the button, yes, i had to push it harder into my ear hole, didn’t like that feeling. And, the bluetooth adapter hung over the iPhone, crap, made the iPhone just like an ugly monster, the designer should consider finding a better way of attaching an additional device to iPhone, which could really make them match each other, make two together just like one.
The control, it didn’t pause the iTunes, just let the phone voice cut in, when phone was finished, I pushed the button, it was playing another song, the iTunes were still working hard while I was talking over the Phone, using this device, I thought the battery would just be gone faster.
it’s a long way to go for my choosing a better earphone for my iPhone: )
Hope the review helps buyers:) help designers design a better one. Keep waiting.

I received this nice set of wireless headphones not sure what to expect.
I have never owned something like this before. I wanted something that I could wear around the house without being tied to wires. I have used it with the dongle plugged into my laptop and listened to music and it is oh so clear. The bass boost feature is great and does just what it says. The battery last atleast 6 hrs for. Some have said that they did not feel comfortable but I must have ears that they were designed for because they fit perfect. Now I have noticed that the range is better when using the dongle rather than just using Bluetooth to hookup. The range is good but not great. I get about 20 feet before I notice some breakup at times but this is with walls between me and the other device.
Pros: It works great for around the house or as a handsfree phone device
The battery last a long time
The headset is very comfortable
The sound quality is great
Negs: The price is alittle high but its new tech so I expect that
Mine has a problem with the dongle makes popping and crackling
if touched at all

I had mixed feelings about this product- on one hand, it’s a versatile bluetooth headphone set, and on the other hand, I found the headphones downright uncomfortable to wear. I would rate it 3.5 stars, however, 4 stars is too high, so 3 stars it is.
The Good:
——————
- Bluetooth pairing extremely easy. I used an older phone for the pairing, without difficulties.
- Buttons feel solid, overall, good build quality.
- Buttons built into earbuds are easy to depress, responsive.
- Stereo calling!
- Reputable brand.
The Bad:
——————
- I was unable to get the headphones to fit in my ears without having them falling off. Maybe I have Gollum-shaped ears, but I found the headphones to be very uncomfortable. The earbuds are capable of telescoping about 1/2 inch and rotating in either direction, but even after making these adjustments, I was unable to find a reasonable fit. And that defeats the purpose of having these headphones in the first place.
I wanted to like these headphones, but the fit and comfort are key issues to me. If the fit were improved, I’d give it 4 stars.

A great headset! Works with my cell phone (LG 8100) via Bluetooth and on all of my audio equipment like television, mp3 player, computer, etc. via the included Bluetooth adapter. Great sound and no noticeable interference from the device itself. (Unfortunately with headsets you will notice more issues with your audio equipment.)
Earbuds
I like the ear piece design. It’s not the pressure type that fit tight in your ear but it sort of funnels into your ear via adjustable “contoured” earbuds. They are comfortable (I actually enjoy wearing them, but I’m not that guy who wears them everywhere) and they stay on very well, even shaking my head they barely move. One problem is the wire that connects the two sides goes behind your head. So if you sit back and rest your head on a pillow or back of the chair, you may have to adjust the headset.
Controls
The headset feels sturdy and well made. There are several controls on the headset including volume control, phone control and even a music control (depends on compatible equipment). You can accidently press a control if you make adjustments to the headset. I’m not sure how else they could be placed so it is just a matter of getting used to where the buttons are.
Charger
The charger comes with two outlets so you can charge both the headset and the Bluetooth adapter at the same time. One problem with the Bluetooth adapter is that the LED indicator is so small it is really hard to tell if it is on or not. My concern is that it will be left on and drain the battery. The manual doesn’t mention anything about auto shutoff. Like most things that come with rechargeable batteries you are required to charge both for at least an hour before use. While an hour isn’t like overnight I wish products would come with batteries charged.
Tones
One nice thing about the headset is that it will beep tones when certain buttons are pressed. For instance, when you turn it on you hear four rising tones, off is four falling tones. However, for battery level there are no tones, only LED flashes. So you have to take it off to check the battery level.
Setup
Setup was a breeze for both pairing with my cell phone and the Bluetooth adapter. One small problem was seeing the correct flashing sequence for the adapter since it is hard to see the LED.
TV
This set really does have great sound and I love it for watching TV except for one potentially annoying problem, there seems to be a slight delay. I say slight because sometimes it looks like the mouths are moving and the sound is off but then you look again you wonder if it is happening or not.
Cell Phone to Adapter
You can switch between cell phone and Bluetooth adapter. I found when I turned it on to use the Bluetooth adapter it went to the phone first which I had to disconnect before it would connect to the Bluetooth. But you don’t have to go through setup again.
Distance
The manual states distance is up to 33 feet. That is about it. It will cut out before that with walls or other interference. So although you can’t really walk very far away from your device, I haven’t had any issues when I am within reach of the unit or ten or fifteen feet in front of the TV.
Overall a great headset. To be disconnected from my audio electronics is awesome!

I own a number of Altec Lansing products so I had high expectations when I first started using the BackBeat Bluetooth headphones. However, I have to say that I’m more than a little disappointed with the total package here.
First, let me say that the audio quality of this headset is fantastic and the Bluetooth range is second to none. The speakers inside the earpieces produce a pretty good audio range of highs and midtones with a hint of bass. That said, it’s the Bluetooth range that really impressed me. I have two other Bluetooth stereo headsets and the both start to lose the Bluetooth signal after I move about 10-15 feet away from the transmitting device. The BackBeat headphones retained a solid signal even after I left my phone in my basement family room and walked upstairs into the dining room (at least 30 feet away plus at least one solid wall before I started to lose the audio signal).
The major negative issues I ran into with the BackBeat were limited volume range and poor fit. I just couldn’t make the BackBeat loud enough … which is really annoying when you’re trying to hear a call or listen to subtle parts of a song or audio book. Part of the volume problem might have been due to the fact that I couldn’t get the BackBeat to stay in my ears. I think the size of my ears is pretty average, but the rear earpieces were just too big and I couldn’t keep the earpiece tips in my ears. I also expected the rear connection to be firm (similar to my Motorola Bluetooth stereo headset, but the rear connection is just a limp wire, so it doesn’t help keep the earpieces in place.
The Bluetooth dongle works fine, but I did notice that it didn’t work exactly as explained in the user manual. The user manual states that the LEDs on the headset and dongle will flash blue when they are successfully paired together, but they flashed red for me. I kept thinking it wasn’t working … until I put the earpieces in my ears and discovered sound was coming out.
Bottom line, the BackBeat has great audio quality and Bluetooth range, but I couldn’t get it to fit on my head/ears and I couldn’t get the volume as loud as I wanted.
