I suspect I would have enjoyed this product very much if it had been compatible with my computer. Unfortunately, however, I had compatibility issues and was unable to use it.

I don’t know what I was thinking when I said I’d try this. Just looking at the user’s guide gave me a headache. I’m sure it’s fabulous – this company is known for this type of software – but I chickened out.

I’ve used Rosetta Stone before so was familiar with their system. Their method of learning a language really works. When I first started using the system I kept thinking there’s no way I can learn like this but before I knew it I was recognizing and understanding a COMPLETELY foreign language that doesn’t even use our alphabet!

The Rosetta Stone Version 3 Japanese Level 1,2,3, is an intersting approach to learning a new language. The computer software was quite easy to set up, the microphone-headset plugged in to a USB port, and I was ready to try my hand at it. The lessons are really quite easy and can be
adjusted to meet the needs of the user. There are also a set of CD’s to
listen to in a CD player, or to be loaded on an MP3 Player. These help
the person learn the language with the idea of immersion in the language.
How long it takes to learn will of course depend on the person. But Rosetta Stone does make it a lot less frustrating to try to do it.
Plus I think everyone should at least try to challenge themselves to learn a second language, its a great way to keep the brain in shape.
