The Easycrap device, the software disc and the instructions you can toss in the trash…doesn’t work. Keep the usb extension cable and take care of it, works like a charm. Pay $20 or whatever you’re paying for the video capture package and you will be paying $20 for a Dollar General quality usb extension cable no longer than about 2 feet in length. The only EASYCAP device is the usb extension cable, very easy to usb, no instuctions or software needed, no margin for error, just plug it in! Don’t waste $20 on a 2ft. long easycap usb extension cable. If you look around just a little harder I’m sure you could find one. Better yet if you ask someone nicely they would probably give you one! The absolute truth…this Easycrap does not work at all! It is not compatible with Windows XP even though my PC is three times the so called system requirements of the Easycrap software. You can try all day long to install the drivers for this Easycrap device whether it’s the software disc that comes with it or download it online, it absolutely will not install. You can forget about a refund from the crook that sold you the Easycrap, you won’t get it. You can also forget about things like updates, rolling back the driver, help, support and positive suggestions…there are none. I’ve been there and done that, now I’m warning you because I hate to see people waste their hard to earn money. I also sell products to people but only if it works. I would never be dishonest, selling people things that I know don’t work. I really don’t see how there could be more positive than negative customer reviews for this Easycrap device..they all should be negative with zero stars. I have been ripped off by buying two of these Easycrap devices. Nothing to do now but throw the Easycraps in the garbage where they belong and warn others. My suggestion, if you want a descent video capture device or one that just works just spend a little extra money.

We purchased this product for my husband to hook up his underwater Quad camera to the computer. He wanted to make videos of spear fishing to send to friends. Other cables we looked at cost $75. I wasn’t sure if this would work, but for $15 I thought it was worth a try. Well, it works awesome. . . and friends and family have been enjoying the videos.

I love this product, I installed in 5 minute and was able to edit all my video. I was able to burn all my Video on DVD within minutes after installing it. I will buy another one for my mother and she also like it. Very easy to use. I recomment this product to all my friends.

We ordered this because we needed to use a video camera as a webcam to record a class at church amd stream it online for members who were homebound. The instructions and CD make the process very clear, but on ease of use, I scored this a 4, because some of the settings actually had to be configured in two different places, so it took a bit of tweaking. The RCA plugs made configuration a snap, because we were able to take the audio and video and use different sources.
While I was configuring it, I also hooked up a VCR’s output to the inputs and found I was able to view/encode/record from the source, so it should make a handy tool for someone trying to encode either home movies or VCR tapes to digital media or DVD.
Couldn’t beat the price either…
