Excellent MP3 player. Cheapest high quality product, better than Ipod. And you can put in a microd SD. Its so simple, just paste your MP3s & play, no BS. It also has FM, plays pics & etc.

Paid 39.99 for player and 1 gb card, still $10 cheaper than anywhere else and was delivered (same state) in 3 days

Grandma purchased this MP3 player for my 10 year old son. I have a Sansa e250, which I absolutely love. This is a really good player as well. It has a quirk I could do without.
The earphones that came with it were broken after only 30 minutes of use. It’s as if the right ear piece didn’t have the wire correctly aligned. When we pull down on the cord, it works but only for a short while. I will buy an inexpensive set of earphones at Big Lots and be done.
The player works just like the e series player, with a couple of exceptions
1. the power button is on the side, rather than the front.
2. the menu dial does NOT allow you to rotate through the last menu option back to the first option. When you get to the bottom, you have to roll the dial back up. My e250 allows me to continue rolling through the final menu option back to the first and through all of the choices again.
Lastly, I never tried to load an audio book on my old player, but I’ve had a nightmare of a time trying to load a book from CD for my son. It is really a problem with audio CDs, as they are not automatically found with my media program. However, I relabeled all of the tracks in numerical order from the first CD to the fourth, and they still came out jumbled on the player. I also created a playlist, to no avail.
I probably will skip the book and stick to music, which is a breeze to drag and drop into the player. Sound on this unit is really good, just like the previous version. It is significantly thinner than the e series. My son absolutely loves it, so I guess that’s all that matters.

After doing A LOT of research on MP3 players, I purchased this Sanza 2GB Fuze. To give reference to my review, I do not plan to use the photo or video features on this player. There are certainly other players with better screens for those particular kinds of things. So, if you plan to use those features heavily, I would be looking more towards a IPod Touch or a Sony Walkman or mabe the Sanza View (I think it is called). The screen on this is simply too small for it to be worth it. As for the music features, this player matches just about any other brand out there. I have tried this thing in various set ups – in my car, on a stereo, through computer speakers, and with the ear buds. They all sound really quite nice with the exception of the horrible ear buds that come with the player. But hey, they are ear buds and will sound bad anyway. The radio thing is nice but not a deal maker or breaker IMO. In any case, it draws good clear signal. My biggest complaint is the interface. The menu set-up is not extremely intuitive and the controls take some getting used to. Maybe I’m old fashioned but the wheel thing seems like a way to make something that should be easy more difficult. When I am in a song menu, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to simply press down and nothing happens. In most menu’s it forces you to use the wheel. The other part about this is that it is not always consistent. Some menus you press the middle button to select and others you press to the right. Sometimes you can use up-down other times you can’t. Really kind of a mess in that regard. Finally, there is an expandable memory slot but the manual itself does not really explain anything about this at all. I put my SD card in and expected the player to prompt me about formatting it or something much like my cellphone did when I put one in it. I scrolled through the menus and couldn’t find a thing about it. The manual they provide is also mum on this point. I have not filled the player past internal capacity yet so I’m not worrying about it but it seems to me if you have a feature like this that sets you apart from your main competitor – IPOD – you would make a huge friggin deal about it in the owners manual.
In, summary:
Pros -
1. Great MP3 player. Nice sound. Decent equalizer.
2. Expandable memory.
3. Radio.
4. Radio and Sound recording.
5. PRICE!!!
6. Good Battery life (so far).
Cons -
1. Small screen.
2. Moderately difficult and cumbersome menus and interface.
3. Manual is not comprehensive.
4. No wall charger included.

The Sandisk 2gb Sansa Fuze is a great item to have if you don’t want to spend crazy ipod money. It it has great sound and a really nice design. Compared to the ipod it has a SD slot and it has FM radio. Two big features that is really big these days. I don’t know how big a SD card it can hold but i put my 8gb SD card in it and it worked fine. I was unsure about the product but i am very happy to be a owner. Again for the price you cannot go wrong with this product. It does more then the ipod and easy to use. Hope this helps Happy shopping
