Item received on time and in new condition. No documentation limited usefulness so pretty much junk to me. Didn’t return solely due to low initial cost. Would not buy again. C-.

I purchase this item thinking it would work. Wrong. My computor downloaded the required software but when I went to a secure site that use CAC card the thing didn’t work. And when I asked for a refund the company hasn’t responsed back. So my advice is don’t buy from this company.

It is what I needed. As others have said if you are Navy it is alittle hard to get the download program but card reader works fine and was shipped quickly.

I’m comfortable installing a piece of hardware and searching for drivers, etc. If you’re not, beware that there’s no software or instructions included. Mine would not work, failing to install drivers or recognize drivers installed off the AKO CAC card site or from SCM Microsystems.

This device helped me stay connected to AKO. I was changing log-in passwords every 150 days and you can only do that on a CAC log-in. I do not have easy access to US Army computer so I would go to units I did not drill with and ask to use one for the password change. Then I realized I could get this device for my home PC to do the same. It took awhile downloading software but I finally got it to work. My only problem is I can log into AKO webmail, but not the main site…thus 4 stars.
