I have had a difficult time getting my 4 1/2 year old son to transition from 100% vehicle toys to also playing with action figures. Since he loves Scoob and his buddies, this seemed like a good idea and he does love to play with it. Of course, there’s nothing educational about it. As far as durability – my boy is very hard on his toys but he hasn’t managed to break this one yet. The front doors pop off right away, but they snap right back on. I don’t get why they didn’t fix them more securely to the toy. I have to say that the action figures in particular give off a very strong odor of plastic which makes me wonder how safe it really is, especially since it is made in China. Also, for some reason, the mystery machine comes sans flowers – which just seems weird. One more oddity, I thought I was pretty well-versed in the Scoobiverse having grown up with the many incarnations of the show and also watching it with my son – the Mystery Machine here comes with some kind of gun mounted inside of it that cannot be removed and takes up a lot of the interior. I don’t recall any such object in the cartoon show.

FYI, This item is way over priced for $49.99 new, you can buy it in many toy stores for $19.99. Same as the 5 pack figure set, sells in other stores for $15.99. I know I bought them

My daughter has absolutely loved this set of toys. I have found the toys to be good quality and very durable. There are no tiny parts. The figures survive easily in the dirt or in the tub. Overall a very good product.

This is a great toy for $19 (Toys R Us)…but not for the amount y’all are charging here!
