When I first reviewed the information about this hard drive, I compared it with the 500GB one, that is, Seagate FreeAgent 500 GB 3.5-Inch USB 2.0 Hard Drive ST305004FDA1E1-RK. I concluded that this one is much smaller that the latter one. My friend bought the ST305004FDA1E1-RK one and she said for sure that the 1tb one was much smaller in size. Unfortunately, when I opened it yesterday the moment it got here I got dissappointed! It's the same size of the ST305004FDA1E1-RK one, and what's more, it's heavier! I don't know whether it's because the description is misleading or some other reasons, I'm wondering if i can refund it?

I recently bought one these hard drives and I must say I am very impressed. I was a little worried at first but then I realized that unlike all the other cry babies out there, I am not using a Mac or Vista64...

Arrived in one piece from US to Korea. Love them - beer pours well and friends enjoy their smooth texture and durability in the dish washer.

I was initially happy with the 1.5TB version of this product. Then one day I plugged the USB to my laptop off a few feet away from the drive. I accidently moved the laptop and inadvertantly knocked the drive off the table. Since the cables were attached, the drive did a 'soft bounce' off the carpet. It was not a hard knock, but nevertheless it rendered the drive inoperable with a distinct repeating low beeping noise. I did a hard power off (unplugged power cable), but probably did harm to the drive heads? I was disappointed on the how easy it is to ruin this drive.
<br />Now, I have decided to purchase anew SATA drive to replace the original. I have opened the enclosure and well see if the drive contents are recoverable on a separate computer. For those less mechanically inclined, STAY AWAY from this drive!

Overall I am happy with the unit. It seems responsive enough for my picture and video management. I don't remember how big it acutally was, but it is certainly not a full TB no matter how you count it, but for the price, I am not complaining.
