I only researched this online before I bought it to use on my new hardwood floors. My husband was afraid that the vacuum would scratch them. I didn’t purchase additional covers because the shipping cost was already high (shipping doubles the cost). I’m glad, as I find I’m not using the mop as often as I thought. It may be good for open spaces, but with lots of furniture to go around, it’s simply easier to just vacuum–I can reach smaller spaces with the crevice tool. Also, after purchasing I have found several local alternatives (O-Cedar, Quickie, Rubbermaid) that look like they would work just as well for half the price(not paying shipping). The only difference I see is that these use a synthetic dust-cover; the Sh-Mop’s is cotton. I can live with that. I think that the replacement covers for these mops will also fit the Sh-Mop. So yes, it’s a good product; just evaluate how you’ll be using it before you buy. I would definitely not spend $24 for it again for my use.

This mop is just fine for the price. I do not see anything outstanding about it like how other reviews had. The shipping costs were on the higher side as I also bought an additional mop cover with it. The packaging in my case was not up to the mark too although the product arrived on time. I feel I should have got one from the stores that are available just like this one, for a much lesser price.
The mop is easier to maneuver around covering much area while moping easily but I believe one could find the same features in other mops. I suggest looking at the mops outside for a lesser price and almost the same features before you sure want to invest in this one.

I bought one years ago and for some reason never really used it, when I went to look for it – it was gone
We recently installed laminate flooring in the living room, long, large hallway and large kitchen of our second home. After mentally reconnecting with the SH Mop and reading the positive reviews, I ordered two of them (one for my vacation home and one for my residence) and a dozen terry covers – 6 to be used at my home. The new flooring was a bit dirty after it was installed, and I decided to use both of the Sh Mops – my husband sprayed a mixture of 1/8 of cup of white vinegar and one quart of plain, using a light misting over a small area, and immediately Sh Moped it to remove the dirt. I was right behind him, moping the damp floor with the second SH Mop.
It went so fast and we did all of the floors in no time., much faster than using one mop and changing it more often. It was so much faster and easier with the two of us working as a team. We changed terry covers several times.
I had been told by a company that sells them online or via telephone, that I shouldn’t use bleach in the washing machine when washing the covers, because over time the bleach would weaken the elastic. He also said not of dry them all of the time in the dryer, as that too weakens the the elastic.
I have one of my probably 15 year old covers, but the elastic had been gone for years. I always dried in the dryer. I still use it as a regular furniture dust rag and it is as good as new.
So, now I wash the covers in the washing machine and hang them up to dry, either inside of outside depending on the weather.
One day I will have to do the floor alone – and I will find out how much harder it would be for one person and two mops …. but for now, dear hubby is a life and time saver.
I am going to order two more SH mops for my residence and leave two at the vacation home.
You can get them cheaper by ordering from the manfacuter – google and you’ll find them – the shipping is much cheaper too. There is also another site, Floor Clean or Cleaning, their prices are even cheaper than the manufacturer. I am going to order from them this time.

I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. As others say, a great mop. Seems so obvious that it’s better for your wood floors to be cleaned this way than to rub dirty water around on them, leaving them to air dry. I’m using the Bono wood floor cleaner and having great results. It’s not meant to make the floors shiny, just clean. If you have a matte finish, then you’ll get clean, matte-finished floors. I would guess that anything that makes your floors “glisten” probably has oil or wax in it and is thus not good for them.

Convenient cloths are machine washable, which is nice. The only thing it’s not great for is scrubbing. But this is my only mop and I’m happy with my floors.
