ITEM IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Made in Thailand, should of been my first clue. It wasn’t built to ul specs, many problems with it. That loud noise is the microwaves going everywhere but the inner chamber to heat the food, that and a burning smell, surprised I didn’t burn down the kitchen. Never tripped the breaker, but had a nice headache. DO NOT BUY THIS.. I hope this is just a Knockoff of a real microwave, because if this is a Sharp, I won’t ever buy one again.

I was so excited to get a more compact microwave than I had for the last 20 years. I really only use it to heat up my food, or to bake a potato (it used to take an hour in the oven). The first microwave I ordered had a dent in the top, so I had to return it. This was a problem because I’m an elderly person, so had to arrange for someone to pick it up. I had it replaced but was disappointed to find that the new microwave was noisier than the bigger one I had. I’ve bought many things from Amazon which were fine, but I don’t know if I would do it again after this experience.

The unit looks very good, but that is where it ends. The cavity is undersized top to bottom. One can’t fit a large cup of store bought coffee into the unit to rewarm it.
The cooking process is very slow too. You are better off paying a little more and getting a bigger and stronger unit.

I am not fond of this particular microwave because of the loud clunky sound of the door opening. Poor in my opinion. I can’t believe that I will probably put up with this for years as I use my microwave several times a day. My husband just complained that the start button is hidden on the user display among the other buttons. Seems like there should some sort of user standards for display input. Like Power buttons in the upper left corner. Most-used buttons should be large. maybe in a special color. I like the web 2.0 look that is developing on user interfaces. No user interface should make the user feel stupid is my thought. I asked my husband what was the brand name and he said “Sharp” so even if cheap I think Sharp ought to protect the brand image. But I see that I am in the minority of opinions here. Maybe my advice is not order on line till you try this item out.
