Works with all Bluetooth cell phones as long as it is A2DP. Just select connect to Bluetooth Stereo Headset on your device that you want to pair with it. I have mine streaming music from my Samsung A727 Cell phone and my Samsung P2 Bluetooth mp3 player. Sony says it only pairs with Sony cell phones and mp3 players but that’s a lie. It will pair with any device with the same technology A2DP. This is the only home stereo with this capability that I know of under $600. [...] it works but was not new like they said and had a cracked case that I managed to get back together so the crack does not show too bad, but this system does it all. Worth every penny.

I ordered this system to be used with a whole house audio system. I’m not using the speakers (so I can’t rate the quality) because I have it connected directly to the input of a 12 channel audio amplifier. It works great and sound quality is excellent. In addition to AM/FM, CD and iPod, I also have my TV audio output connected to the ‘Audio In’ jack, so I can listen to the TV from multiple rooms. I just wish the ‘audio in’ jack was on the back instead of the front panel (would look much better). Haven’t had a chance to use the bluetooth feature yet.

I wanted a compact stereo system with Bluetooth so that I could stream Internet radio music from my laptop to the stereo system. Almost every device I have is Sony, so I always look for Sony first, because I like their products and technical support. I didn’t need the i-Pod docking station, but I bought this system anyway because it had what I wanted and I liked the reviews. I am a happy camper because the setup was easy and everything works as it should and sounds great in my small living room. I can play music from my Sony Ericsson mobile phone and music from my Sony VAIO laptop. There are a lot of Internet radio stations that play classical music and the sound comes through beautifully on this Bluetooth system.

I have always been a Sony fan but I really scrutinize my purchases anymore. I looked at several brands before settling on the CMTBX50BTi. I like the size, sound, bluetooth and IPod capabilities. It also has CD player.
I know Sony likes the black finish and it looks good but it makes it difficult to see the controls and labels. I also would prefer to have control knobs, especially for the volume.
Overall though I am happy with the purchase and the price was decent for a new model.

Only reason this is four stars, is believe it or not, this unit does not have a mute button. That is unreal in this day and age.
The bluetooth works perfectly, I can stream audio from my laptop and from Sirius radio. This is one way to have sat. radio in the home when an antenna is not possible.
For as small as this is the sound is quite good.
Very happy with this purchase.
