This recorder is very easy to use and has just the right features. The sound quality is excellent.

Previously, I had an olympus model for about a year that I thought was the best. I chose olympus because it had higher reviews. then one day I lost all my data with an error message, and that was the death of the thing. So I thought I would try Sony because of my long history of good luck with anything with a Sony Name. I had this model for a couple months now, and I like it much better than the olympus model I had.

I was hoping this would be of better materials. The volume of the recording was abmissmal and it was not what I expected it to be so sent it back for credit which was done without any problem. Am still looking for a product of good quality for the purpose of recording meetings etc which this was not up to the job. I tried talking right into it and the volume was very poor coming out.

I bought this as a backup for another Sony voice recorder. The price looked good so I took a chance. As a basic voice recorder, it does a great job. If all you need to do is record a conversation and play it back on the device, then this is the recorder for you. However, I need more than that. I needed the ability to download the recordings and forward them to other team members for review and transcription. I also need the ability to save the conversations to file. With this recorder, I had to transfer all of the conversations to my other voice recorder, then save them to file on my computer. It is an extra step that i would not have been able to do if I didn’t have another device capable of saving to disk. Again, it worked very well for a basic model, but if you need more from a voice recorder, I would recommend one of his big brothers in the product line.
