I was so thrilled with the idea of being able to record MP3 style. And, to a limited extent, I have been able to do this. But, I was up against my first problem when I went to instruction #1 and could not set the clock properly. Writing tech support was of no help. Now I am finding the instruction manual just does not correlate with how this works, and I am at a loss currently as to how to set the mic sensitivity, how to adjust the volume. I have owned many electronic products, but this is the first time I am up against either/or the manual or tech support being of no help in guiding me how to use this product. Sorry to say, but because of this issue, I am afraid this item will be junked soon. Too bad. It has so much potential. What a waste.

Can’t find a case for it, though. So I accidentally turn it on when it is my pocket and it wears the battery down. Nice for driving.

This is a great product! a Bang for your Buck! It is easy to use because you can easily upload the files onto your laptop or PC.

I was surprised with the quality of this voice recorder. Originally I thought I had to purchase a microphone in order to pick up the sound but that really is not necessary. I actually needed this device for my foreign language class in order to improve my listening comprehension. I also attend a 1:1 dictation session which is located in a very noisy room. No problem recording my sessions with the Sony model ICDUX70RED! I transfered all the sessions into my ipod and all recordings were quite clear. The only downside is that the date does not remain in the memory after you turn it off. You need to reset the date and time with each session which is a pain. I found the best price on Amazon. Originally I was all set to buy it at Best Buy but that truly was not a “best buy” Ha!

Really happy with this little guy. It’s a snazzy red and only cost me 50 bucks because it was refurbished but it works perfectly.
Little baby downside: goes through batteries like poop through a goose.
