Wanted a speaker dock to go with my new sony mp3 S639FB. This was at least £20 cheaper than anywhere else. The only drawback that it said it would be 1-2 months until they had stock. Decided to go for it anyway and was so surprised when I got an email a couple of days later saying it would be dispatched soon. It arrived about 4days later. POSTAGE TIME AND CONDITION Postage was Super Saver and was about 1-2days after dispatch email so really quick as usual with Amazon! It was in a large cardboard box but fully protected around the sides by scrunched up paper LOOKS It looks the part I like the metal lining around the bottom gives it a really classy look. Nice fit on a desk too. BUILD QUALITY I have always been more than impressed by Sonys build quality and this is no exception. It is solid, and doesn’t feel at all cheap. The player sits comfortably in when used with the adaptor provided in the mp3 package. If you dont have that dont worry it will still sit in it fine! SOUND First class goes nice and loud and got a nice bass – just what I was looking for MISC * This is fully portable as it takes 4AA Batteries * There is a connection point at the back which allows you to connect the player to you computer while it sits in the dock, although as usual you will not be able to play any songs while it is connected. * It also charges the device but obviously as you are using it at the same time, it will take longer to fully charge

Fantastic sound quality, small, neat, stylish – highly recommended! If only it came in white or silver it’d be perfect!

You need this….
If you own a Sony Walkman, you need this. Don’t believe some of the negative reviews, this unit is a lot better than you expect.

I had been searching Curry’s and the likes for a docking station for my Sony MP4; I kept getting told that they only sold Ipod docking stations and that I would have to buy a device to set up MP4 listening on one of these and blah,blah,blah (too much technology talk puts me to sleep!) – low and behold I found one on Amazon and a Sony one no less. The estimated arrival for this was 29 Jan – I received it on Saturday 10 Jan. Result number 1. The docking station is so simple to use,you dont even need to read any instructions,which is a huge bonus to me. Result number 2. It is portable and lightweight and ideal for me to take on my self-catering holidays. Result number 3. It also has a remote control. Result number 4. The quality of sound is great – usually anything ‘portable’ lacks sound quality,this doesn’t and the volume it reaches is pretty impressive too. Result number 5. I can now listen to all 2000 songs on my MP4 without having to trawl through all my CD’s. Result number 6. This product is great value for money – if like me,you’re not a techno whizz and all you want to do is play your music without having to think too much about it then go for it. It’s a must-have buy!

speaker dock for walkman
Nice product but could have been better.Great sound and nice build quality. Sadly cant use the radio with E series walkman which is disappointing

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A SPEAKER DOCK FOR MY WALKMAN FOR AGES. ATLEAT ONE AT A REASONABLE PRICE NOT THE £150 + THAT SONY USUALY WANT. SAW THIS IN ARGOS WAS GOING TO ORDER IT BUT WAS OUT OF STOCK AT ALL MY LOCAL STORES. THEN FOUND IT ON AMAZON FOR £10 LESS. IT HAS GOOD VOLUME. ITS SMALL SO PORTABLE. GREAT IF YOU HAVE A CARAVAN BECAUSE IT TAKES UP LITTLE ROOM AND CARGES THE WALKMAN. ALSO DEPENDING ON WHICH WALKMAN YOU HAVE YOU CAN USE THE RADIO WE HAVE A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT MODELS ON THE NW-S703F SERIES THE EARPHONE SOCKET IS AT THE OPPOSITE END SO THE EARPHONES CAN STAY IN WHEN DOCKED ACTING AS THE RADIO ARIEL IT WORKED I TRIED IT.

Speaker dock for Sony MP3
This dock at good at what it says it can do – it plays all my music, charges the MP3 and looks reasonably good.

small and powerful
AT 60 years I have dicoverd MP3 walkman.
Wanted a Dock for Walkman, looked at the reviews and went for the srs-nwgm30.

Excellent sound for something so small!
Ok, I know that this speaker is a little smaller than some customers were expecting, but that is the only issue with this sound system.
