Before buying this player, I was little skeptical with it. I knew Sony had some issues with windows drag and drop in the past. But eventually took the risk. Now I can say it is totally worth it! The sound quality is superb. The supplied headphone is so much better than what you get with ipod. You really have to try it to understand the difference. I guess noise canceling ability also adds to this. One other good thing is that you can also drag and drop the playlists from the iTunes / Windows Media Player (I had to update the supplied software – Content Transfer from Sony’s website to export the iTunes Playlists though). The navigation system is good as well. Its cheaper than iPod!! What more you can ask for! I believe in the 8GB category – this player is right on the top. Update: Just a quick update on my above review. It looks like with the new version of iTunes (8. 2), Sony’s Content Transfer software has lost the ability to Synchronize the iTunes Playllists (sync. of individual files works fine though). However, it looks like another of Apple’s cheap (!!!) effort to block Sony’s devices from iTunes. Hopefully Sony will be updating its Content Transfer software soon to resolve this.

Better than Ipod any day

I was looking for an mp3 player that was good value for money but had good features. High points of this model include separate podcast support, simple drag-and-drop technology which syncs with programs like Mediamonkey and Media Player and some very nifty noise-cancelling headphones. One word of warning is that it is very small and light! This isn’t a bad thing but if you’re like me and have your mp3 player jangling around in your pocket, you may want to invest in a case or protective sleeve to keep it in top-top condition. Highly recommended.

A Great Reasonably Priced Product
This is a great product. Although I have Windows 2000 and therefore the supplied software would not work I can still use Windows Explorer to copy files to the player.

I bought this mp3 player to replace my previous one as I frequently use public transport and I was interested in the noise cancelling aspect of this player. In short it works reasonably well and I don’t have to set the volume level as high as I did with my previous player so it’s better for my ears. The sound quality is excellent as is the quality of the screen, I’m unlikely to make much use of the video player although the preloaded ones are welcome and again of excellent quality. The Fm radio is also a welcome feature – great for catching up on the news on the go and very easy to use. It is very thin dimensions wise but I bought a case for it which makes it a little chunkier. The bottom line – an excellent, quality mp3 player and very good value for money!
