What I like about this unit is the quality of sound and sheer simplicity. It replaced a Sansa View that was great, but the battery didn’t last much and took a long time to turn on. But what I don’t like about this Sony is: memory cannot be added -cannot delete songs or videos on the unit, have to go your pc. Same for checking how much memory you have left.(I could do all that on the Sansa). (since I am not technologicaly oriented, maybe I am missing something). I didn’t get another Sansa for fear of the same happening again. I welcome any suggestion.

Being….mature even in dog years, I clung to my older Sony Walkman with a cassette player and FM radio. I tried to get enthused by IPOD’s, encouraged by younger members of my family. Often, I flirted with Mp3’s, only to reject them for my tried and true CD collection. Then I saw the darling little red Sony MP3 player with attached speakers. I ordered it for my Christmas present FROM my husband. I have over 60 tunes on my Amazon list to download Christmas morning. It’s Sony, it’s red, it has built in speakers, it’s cute. Can’t wait for my Christmas surprise!
Added the weekend before Christmas: My husband has listed so many tunes to download, that I purchased another one for him (in black) for HIS Christmas stocking.
Added Christmas Eve Evening: WOW! My husband LOVED his Sony, great sound, easy to use (even for Senior Citizens ), loved the speakers and ear buds, not tinny, and small, but not so much he couldn’t manage it. Can’t wait until for mine in the morning….Sony Walkman MP3 that is.

I love it! Wonderfully designed, classy, elegant and very easy to use. After having used Ipod and creative, this is my second sony mp3 and I wouldn’t go back to any other brand. Absolutely never.

I love my player. First thing that struck me, was how beautiful it looked. It has great sound, and works well with three different headphones I tried. No need to buy an expensive headphone with this player. No need to buy a more expensive, or a more popular player in this category. This is the one. I love it!!

This is my second Sony MP3 player. This is 16GB for $129! It is thin and light. The transfer software comes embedded in the player. The first time you connect it you start the install software. Small footprint for the software and easy to use. The sound is clear. The screen is bright and clear.
