I wanted to listen stereo music, and send/receive phone calls via bluetooth from iphone 3gs in my car. After some research, this product seems to be a perfect solution as it can transfers the sound to FM radio or Aux In. Everything with this product went well until I realized it does not work at least wirh iphone 3GS unlike advertised.

It plays "OK" music in FM quality - although it is more like from radio station with weak signal. But whether you were listening music or not, the product loses speaker sound by calling/receiving a phone call 9 out of 10 times. Its speaker also does not automatically go to music playing mode after a phone call so you need to manually reset your speaker (SNDFLY BT speaker -> iphone speaker -> SNDFLY BT speaker) in your iphone after every phone call.

I am returning the item.

Upon careful searching of the meager options available for the bluetooth fm transmitter market I came across the soundly BT ultimate. It is compact, relatively simple, and does everything it says it will do. fm transmission is great, but I recommend operating at the unused 87.9 frequency for less interference. The product is cheaply constructed and I am not optimistic about the longevity of the sliding door that covers the five convenience buttons under the call and end call buttons. Pressing firmly on the buttons reminds you that you have paid good money for a product that simply feels like it will break in a few weeks. Yet sound quality is excellent, all functions operate seamlessly and the ergonomics were designed well. This device does not appear to charge USB devices. If you are using bluetooth and then plug in your device to the USB port BT transmission will stop...not sure why. Wait a bit for them to use some more durable materials on this product, put some thought into the long term effects of wear and tear. Happy shopping!

Can't remember who talked me into trying this unit. I had about given up on finding one that sounded clear to me and others could hear me from a mic that wasn't "wired to me". This unit works great. I really like the fact that it automatically connects to my cell phone when I get in the vehicle (a Ford F-150 pickup). The only negative is that I have to stop the station I am listening to and switch to the FM station it joins with. Sort of a hassle if you like to listen to am stations. I have not used a lot of it's features like linking to an ipod, etc.

The unit looks good and connects well. I can answer my calls and it's pretty clear. I have an mp3 phone and even though I can send and receive calls with bluetooth, it does not have the capability to play mp3's unless you use the cord jack to plug it in. For me, I need it to be completely wireless so Im returning mine. But, If its true that the new version coming out will do mp3's using bluetooth then I will definately buy it!
Excellent customer service from Satechi.

Broadcasting private calls and (C) music over public radio? This is why we moved to spread spectrum, no?If hands-free is a law, in most states/nations, and not pertaining to CB handsets, then maybe we can offer the 'BT 80C' or BTC-730, instead of 'FM' radio retransmission. Now if HD Radio had any standards you might be able to send an addressable signal alongside traffic and weather alerts. But isn't that what Bluetooth is for?
