This is probably one of the best investment of my money. It is absolutely the coolest iPod dock on the market. Unlike some iPod docks this takes so much less space compared to other docks, its sound quality is AMAZING, and it makes for an amazing decoration.
The downside is when you plug your iPhone or iPod Touch the home button gets covered and you can’t use the home button. Also the box that comes with it looks pretty corny…if someone saw this at like a Best Buy they would be turned off by the box. And it also comes with a remote that doesn’t look the best, but Overall I love my iPod dock and I highly recommend it

I purchased this little Piggie for my daughter for her 10th Birthday. She absolutely loves it! Its not a toy. It really is a good quality speaker. Glad I got it for her!

Hi,
I rush-ordered the Speakal iPig (white) as a gift for a friend who had just gotten the newest iPod Touch. The package seemed promising at first, especially in light of the glorious reviews the product has received. But after several hours of inspection, the product turned out to be a huge disappointment.
1. The iPig didn’t always properly recognize the iPod: the iPod would be charged but I couldn’t use the remote control to remotely play the iPod at all. And when I tried to manually play a song, the iPod would display that a song was being played but no sound was coming from the iPig’s speakers. Every once in a while, the iPig would play properly. But usually it didn’t last more than a few minutes at a time.
2. The iPig suffered a similar problem of terrible reliability when I tried to play music from a non-iPod source, using the included audio connection cable. Essentially, the functionality would not work 90% of the time. And sometimes, after an extended period of not being able to play any sound, the iPig would suddenly start to blast sound for a few minutes and then, just as abruptly, stop playing all together.
3. The user manual that came with the unit seemed carelessly put together. It was full of poor punctuations (random caps, lack of spaces after stop signs, etc.). The manual also had many awkward sentences and phrasings. Any somber inspector of the manual in question will readily agree with me. More importantly, the manual didn’t come with a trouble shooting guide. Worse, there was NO customer service number.
In all, the whole experience was disappointing. I might have been unlucky with my particular iPig. But judging from the poor quality of the manual, I question Speakal’s credibility to actually produce ANY reliable and quality product at all. I will highly suggest to my friends to NEVER buy from them. And, of course, I strongly recommend that any reader of this review stays away from this product, which, to me, is nothing but a cute and flashy scam.

Bought for my sis in law who teaches kindergarten. Super cute! Not sure about sounds quality, I never heard it. Received in time for the holidays. Thanks!
