I guess I should have thought more about what I was getting… I ended up buying this and returning it… I thought it’d be a little slimmer, but it’s fairly thick plastic. My take on the plastic is why does it have to be so thick? They’re worried about it being able to take a hit, but if you hit plastic (even real thick plastic) hard enough it’s going to cause damage to the laptop regardless…. so why not make it more thin… it literally increases the laptop’s thickness by 10-20% .. additionally of concern it didn’t have what I felt to be sufficient holes in the bottom for venting… I ended up getting the Tucano Second Skin Neoprene case… it’s waterproof and the macbook fits right inside as it’s literally designed for the Macbook and only the macbook. when the laptop is out of it it’s going to be open so the Speck case wouldn’t protect it anyhow… guess it all depends on what you’re trying to prevent. If you’re worried you’ll scratch it or fingerprint it, maybe the problem isn’t the laptop, maybe it’s your personal habits… wash your hands!

It is a little hard to rate a product I’ve never received. I’ve contacted Amazon and Antonline requesting my money be returned and I’ve heard from neither. I’m very disappointed and upset that I’ve had no response to my request and that my money has not be returned.

The cover snapped easily into place. It fits perfectly, and is providing protection to the MacBook.

ORDERED THE RED SPECK COVER FOR MY MACBOOK WHICH GIVES A NICE FLAVOR AND HELPS PROTECT MY MACBOOK FROM SCRATCHES. JUST SNAP ON OR OFF.

i bought a clear se thru case a month ago,and im very happy on the job that it perfomred on my 13 inch macbook,quite expensive but it works good,it prevents scratches and protects your most valuable apple macbook,but then i also just bought a green colored case and tried it on,no problem removing the back cover,the one with the air vents just took me 1 min,the hard part was the top cover,i had to pry it with my thumbnail,making sure i wont damaged the macbook instead of using a knife or a cutter,so the worst part is i injured and broke my nail,God that was painfull,my nail has abreak in the middle and it bled for 1 minute.hope the SPECK guys do something about it otherwise more people might get injured and frustrated
