DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It ruined my Macbook. I had to pay $500 to have the motherboard replaced after attempting to use this battery.

I was cautious about this purchase, but have not regretted it. It is delivering the power I need, for the duration of time that I need them. Other reviews have mentioned that the fit is not good. I have found the fit to be acceptable, although it is true that if you run your hand over the newly installed battery on the bottom surface, you will notice that it is too high by about 1 cm or less. I can live with this given that this item is less than a third of the price of the Apple brand replacement. 4 stars.

This battery has a rated capacity of 5000 mAh. I have completely discharged and recharged it 14 times and I still can’t get it to hold more than 3821 mAh. I may return it.
Fits tight in my MacBook Pro 15″.
The written instructions which accompany this battery are horrible. Obviously written by someone who barely speaks English.

I was leary about purchasing this battery but the price won out and I bought it. Right off the bat I knew this was not as described. After putting the battery through three charge / discharge cycles it’s capacity was only 3200 mwhr. I know a thing or two about li-ion batteries as I use them extensively both for work and in some of my hobbies. These batteries do not have memory issues and as the battery was never drained past 3.0 volts / cell nor was it over charged I have to assume that it was defective or is not comprised of battery cells totally 5000 mwhr. I will not buy this item again. The battery that I purchased from Amazon was shipped by Amazon and therefore the return policy was top-notch.
