If you are using for long hours i.e more than 3 hours then you need to put the cooling pad aside from your laptop for atleast for 1 hour in order to cool the product and also when you are using the cooling pad on your lap the heat is coming out of the cooling pad..i.e I am not completely satisfied with the product.

For short term usage i.e less than 2 or 3 hrs this product is good .for long term purpose it is worst..

I have a Toshiba Satellite P205D-S8812 (I say it like this so i do not have to give specs just browse it here at Amazon.com), and it has some heating issues (but not big of an issue to me, and not to mention every laptop has them), but for me the laptop does job extremly good on what ever I throw at it. No matter video rendering, gaming or any other processor consuming task, and this little thing helped me out so much. But let's be real, even if you have a desktop PC it will generate heat unless you place water cooling on it, not to mention room temperature you are in. This thing does what it says to a certain point, it does stop to disipate heat after 2-3 hours of continuous usage, but hey we are talking about chemicals here. There is no such thing out there like this one, so that is why it makes it different from conventional cooling pads for laptops. Easy to use, no noise, feels comfy on your lap or even better no power consumption. And also if you want to cool down your laptop for additional 2C just take out the battery let it run on adaptor (that way you save your battery from depletion). My laptop is on 24-7 and i just restart it at the end of the day (but when I travel it's not off more than 24 hours). Also I own 4 desktop PC's and have done every thing on them to make them cool but hey if you have a comp running for more than 4 hours and having 4 monitors, that also generate heat and a regular room temperature it will have some effect on your computers generating heat. Unless you own a rack or turn your room into a server room that has it's own dedicated A/C units to make certain temperature, but for normal use this thing offers much more that it looks like. Would definitely recommend it to everyone who is traveling as much as I do. It's not bulky and can be used even as a pad just for protecting your laptop from underneath.

I haven't bought this yet, just browsing for a cooling pad. I see several reviewers saying that after apx. 4 hours the pad is hot and stays hot, so it is not working. It seems to me that if the pad is staying hot then it is working. That is heat that has dissapated from the laptop and is now in the pad, better there than in the laptop. I would love to see a review with actual temperature differences between the laptop with no pad and the laptop after 4+ hours on the pad.
