Toshiba includes ungrounded power adapters for this and most of its other laptops. If you plan on using the laptops for such functions as music recording with microphones or inputs like NI Guitar Rig, this will result in a nasty hum. Toshiba does not apparently offer an adapter “upgrade” (and even charges $90 for the ungrounded ones). Buying a universal adapter that is grounded (assuming this will even solve the problem) will currently (09/09) cost around $150 more. Thank goodness I bought mine and WalMart and could return it for a full refund.
