i gave it one star becouse of the price. other then that it’s a peice of crap. i played one movie. after that it would not work. it would not read dvd’s, cd’s or vcd’s.

I wanted to put in my 2-cents on this dvd player. I am having no trouble with it at all. I hooked it up just like any other DVD player, put in a Region 2 dvd, and it played it without hesitation. I switched the dvd to a Region 1 dvd, and it played that just as smoothly. Pictures are clear. Small player, like a laptop, straightforward design and remote control. Very pleased. Well worth the price.

An excellent dvd player that allows you to watch your dvds from all regions. The dvd player is slim and compact, making it easy to store. It is easy to operate and the picture and sound quality are very good. I would recommend this player to anyone looking for multi region DVD player, especially if they don’t have much space.

All I wanted was a simple plug and play region free DVD player and I found it. One such product listed in my search had a review that said you needed to set up the player with some minor changes in the menu set-up screen but not with the Toshiba. Sound and picture couldn’t be better, if there is any quality issues it’ll be down to my older tv set. I highly recommend this DVD player and the seller New Era Products. The day after I placed my order (11-08-09) it was packed up and shipped out (11-09-09). It arrived on Friday the 13th, 4 days later and 5 days ahead of estimated delivery time.

Unit played for 15 minutes and then the drive collapsed and lost all sound and picture. Didn’t expect much for the price but at least expected some usage. Stay away.
