The dimensions of the hard case are not consistent with the dimensions provided for the carrying case. Poor quality assurance?

I have tried several other external hard drive cases over the years but Vantec has won my loyalty. They’re made out of aluminum to transfer heat quickly and they are high quality. I currently own 6 different external hard drive cases by Vantec. I would recommend ANY Vantec external hard drive case.

Great device, compact, not that much bigger than the cheapy plastic WD passport that the drive came from (plastic case stopped working btw)its now in a cool aluminum case, no complaints so far, well built.

This enclosure serves its purpose well. It functions great, but has a couple of shortcomings that keep it out of the five-star category. However, the negatives would not prevent me from buying this product again.
Installation of the hard drive is straightforward and easy. If you can use a Philips screwdriver, you should have no problem.
As noted by other reviewers, the lack of feet that provide traction is a negative. Also, the high gloss finish (which makes this thing look really sleek) is a fingerprint magnet. If it gets handled a lot, which being portable is implied, it picks fingerprints and other oily dirt quite easily.
