Install was a snap, though I found the fit to be a bit tighter than I would have liked for the hard drive. Cables had enough slack though, and drive loaded up on first try (Windows XP). Comes with all required cables, the power cord block is huge though. Four stars because it works, would have been five but the cord is mighty heavy, and the drive fit a little too tight for comfort.

Product performed well albeit a bit cramped for the cables etc. inside for its size. I have a Philips Mobile storage unit and it is smaller and with a better inside layout. Vendor sent product on time and it arrived without damage. All in all a good product that gets the job done.

… but I think I must rate this one! I am a little computer savy (I mean I was able to remove the HD from my old computer, and I kinda figured out some BIOS settings needed to completely wipe it out, I also partitioned an HD on my new desktop that runs Vista), so I expected some trouble with getting this thing to work (especially on Vista). But the results went over my head totally!
So, basically I google most of my problems and research ideas and this is what happened with this enclosure. Fist of all, I had no idea what it meant to set up a drive to master… but with some google research I had no issues with that (of course after I already put the HD into the case, screwed it, and closed it… oh well just had to open everything up – despite the fact that it was the first thing that was listed in the instructions… well I get ahead of myself sometimes I guess).
Well, so that was easy, then I could not understand why my laptop (that runs XP) was not able to find the drive. But again, by reading the instructions carefully I right clicked on my Computer, managed and set up the external drive as a partition, follow the wizard, easy.
And then.. that was it! It works perfectly, the case looks like is made with high quality, durable, and works great. It totally exceeded my expectations.
Oh, did I mention that I really feared that I will have a huge problem with Vista… well connecting it to my desktop (which runs Vista) actually made me write this review! to make the long story short – I connected it, and it worked automatically! (I run 32-bit eMachines). NOTHING needed to be done – this external drive was recognized as a huge zip drive within seconds. That’s all.. just wanted to share.
Peace out.

Great product. I was able to salvage an old hard drive with minimal effort.
