I’ve used over 5 different burning programs to try to burn to this disc and none will register it. It’s not my DL dvd burner because it has firmware updated in November 2008. Well after the creation of these discs.

Flawless and made from the Singapore plant. People a little upset over the price- what do you expect? -there is a cost to the emulsion layer they must apply so you can lightscribe on your pc. These are the same people that are probably buying these to pirate $60 Xbox 360 games with- go figure. If you don’t like the price buy the other ones and use a marker. If your having problems with making lightscribes 1st go buy Sure Thing SC/DVD Labeler- Then find your images on google and save to desk top. This software allows for just about any kind of design and format you want. I think it looks cool- some complain about the image not being more prominent.

I use these DL DVDs when I need to burn a longer movie project that I have been working on to DVD at full bit rate. Adobe Premiere Elements will adjust the bit rate down to make the movie fit on the media that it is given. Some work needs the full bit rate to retain resolution. It is a shame that I can only buy the DVD DL LightScribe disks in a 10 count pack. I’d like to buy a stack of 50.

DVD’s worked well and I love the Lightscribe, but wish they were available in colors like the CD’s. Haven’t been able to find any other colors. The gold color is rather bland. The titles when burned into the DVD’s are readable but could be darker. Not sure if that’s the DVD or the burner. Other than that the product worked great.

For several years I’ve copied or made CDs and DVDs on my Mac. For most DVD
Copying I use dual layer media. I’ve found using LightScribe is less
expensive and trouble in the long run than the cost of the paper labels
and the ink required to print them.
In the future LightScribe will be able to produce color imaging. Also,
when other vendors produce LightSribe dual layer media the cost may lower.
Kudos to Verbatum for this fine product.
