Good value, though picture quality leaves something to be desired
After using this TV for about two months, I returned it because it lacks an analog audio output. The Sharp Aquos I purchased to replace it (same size, same price, but with that…

This TV is perfect for those who just want to get with current technology, and want a decent sized, and compact TV. You will definitely see a picture improvement over traditional television, and the picture looks very good for bright pictures (ie sports games, most television shows). Picture clarity is pretty good, the artifacts are pretty minimal. What this TV is severly lacking in, is depth of color. Don’t listen to other reviews that say “it’s just as good as higher priced televisions,” because it’s not. This is very noticable in low light levels, the colors get very washed out, to a disappointing degree. The sound is not bad, a lot of the lower priced flat planel speakers sound very tinny. Its speakers sound worse than higher quality sets, but are still pretty tolerable. All in all you get what you pay for. This TV isn’t garbage but it’s not going to win any awards. If you are looking for a TV to watch football on Sunday in hi-def this is the television for you. If you are a gamer, or a movie enthusiast with a blu-ray player, save up your money and go with a higher quality television, as you will find the depth of color on this television a bit disappointing.

I’ve owned this set for over a year now & I’m about 97% satisfied with it. It has great picture quality. The price was unbelievable. It was much cheaper than many of the other “known” brand names. It has two HDMI ports, it has two connections for accessory components (red, blue & green hook ups), RGB monitor connection (works well with my laptop though I do have to change the resolution because I only have VGA available on laptop), 2 AV connections & 1 cable connect. The Vizio has worked well with cable & has done well with an inside external antenna. Every now & then I get digital trash or pixelization. This occurs more when I use the antenna. I’m not able to get great reception at times even with an antenna that has a power boost feature. I also suspect that this product might have a low refresh rate. I use a Philips DVD player (no HDMI) that has a great picture during playback. The one drawback I have here ( I have no experience with other models in this regard to TV or DVD) is that there’s a major drop in volume when playing DVD. This difference can amount to more than 30 points at times. I’ve only had to go on line once for customer service, it did take some time. The end result was satisfactory but was time consuming. The bottom line is this: This Vizio HDTV is toward the bottom end as far as “gadgetry” is concerned but when I compare the value & price I paid for it, I am very satisfied.

Built-in speakers are great
We just got this TV yesterday from a big-box store, so I cannot comment about its reliability yet. The picture is average, and the features are average.

Vizi0 Lagging.
Ok, those of you who just want to watch some high def movies with Hdmi cords, go for it. It is decent for movies picture wise.

I Thought I would mention, since my owners manual did not, the 40a versions of this TV now have a vesa 100×100 pattern for wall mounting. This makes things incredibly cheaper for mounting solutions. The Manual does not mention this, only the old non-vesa 420×200 pattern which forced us to buy way expensive mounts for such a light 32 pounds or so, television. Hope this helps. BTW I used a Sanus model ml22 to mount mine. It was $69. 00, mounted beautifully.

Very impressed – just some minor complaints
One thing I noticed right away with this LCD HDTV, is the packaging is well-designed. Usually, if the manufacturer puts some thought into the packaging, the product is pretty…

Don’t waste your hard-eanred money on this inferior product
This product does not deserve even 1 star! I bought a refurbished Vizio 32″ LCD TV. used it for a year and a green hue started to appear on screen.
