We returned our V-Tech camera as it was way too complicated for our son to use. The images on the screen were always in motion which made it difficult to zero in on his subjects.
Returning it was very easy. : )

My son got this for his 3rd birthday. It takes really horrible pictures. I don’t think a single picture we tried to take turned out. He like pretending that it works but too bad it doesn’t actually work. We got it as a gift otherwise I would return it. waist of money!

Before you purchase this camera, please see Mary Muldoon’s review, “Important Facts for Everyone and for Mac Users,” March 23, 2009″ (listed under the three star reviews of the Vtech Kidizoom Plus PINK Digital Camera). Her review is technical, but describes exactly why you will not be able to download pictures to your Mac computer, saving any photos your child takes. I almost made the mistake of thinking my child (age 2 1/2) was too young to care about saving pictures, until I saw her at a playdate recently where she played with a toy camera much like this one and wanted to see the picture again at home!
We did get a chance to use a Vtech Kidizoom Plus Digital Camera that was a couple of months old, and in terrific condition. The picture quality was lousy, as the reviews here state: so bright we couldn’t see the object she had taken a picture of, and I tried with the same results. When you use two fingers to cover the flash, there’s some improvement, with less bright white and a blurred person that you won’t see enough features to recognize, or a blurry blob where an object should be. Disappointing. Hope this helps!

My daughter got this camera for her 3rd birthday and it is very kid tough except we replace the batteries after every picture taking event. They are not rechargeable which is the biggest negative about the camera. I am looking for a new brand to buy for a kid camera, I figure it would be cheaper to buy a new kid camera with rechargeable batteries than to keep buying batteries for this one.

I just got this in the mail today. I bought it for my 5 year old daughter (the pink one) as a X-Mas gift. I took it out of the box and started playing with it right away, to test it out. I think this is a great camera. I love it already…even better then my own camera. I know my daughter is going to have so much fun when I give it to her. Plus I got it on sale for $39.99 with free shipping. Well worth it. Maybe now I can play with her camera, to make up for all those times that she took mine…lol
Overall, a great camera and idea for kids. And that “not so happy buyer” on top was for another review, I cant seem to take it off.
