Work great for a few minutes, then start spitting out hot water with little steam. I was using it on my couch and wasnt wearing shoes, then lots of hot water started hitting my bear foot. OUCH. I have since sent it back.

Anyone who buys this has to understand that dirt does not just magically disappear with this item. And if your dirt is truly been there for awhile, you will have to at least pre-soak and when you do use the steam, you will have to carry a towel with you to mop up the dirty water.
Considering its reviews, I am most decidedly disappointed. This machine ins NOT, IS NOT for terrazzo or Mexican tile. You will not be happy if you plan to use this on anything but an easy wash tile and in that case you probably don’t need it. It is good for dust and for dusty areas that are hard to reach. Ditto picture frames.
You will either have to get something better if you have true dirt. Also, the plastic parts break easily.

After reading the reviews I thought this had to be a winner but it didn’t clean a thing. I guess I owe my wife a lot of credit for getting things clean with the standard cleaning methods.
Although its primary market is removing wallpaper (per the box), even Wagner says only a 20% improvement over traditional methods. We didn’t get it for wallpaper. Based on the other reviews we tried it to clean everything: grout, carpet stains, shower door, BBQ, auto wheels, etc nothing was any cleaner than doing it by hand. I even tried cleaning my car engine which only had a little dirt on it – looks the same.
It does produce steam but not a great deal of pressure. The quality isn’t bad, all the pieces are pretty sturdy. It looks hi-tech. Steam under pressure will make noise, there is no way around that. The unit does get a little warm too. I imagine the steam would help disinfect like cleaning up after the puppy.
But for $100 we can buy a lot of soap, water and rags and do a better job.
A couple of tips: for wallpaper we have used a bucket of hot water and a sponge. For the BBQ, get it hot, then dip your wire brush (if you can use one – check directions) into water and clean the grate. The hot water helps sanitize it as well.

I am ready to send this product back. While the machine does create steam it does little to clean. There is not enough pressure of steam coming out to really benefit the use of this tool. I used it to tackle wall paper and found the product to be more in my way than and plus to help reduce the work load.

I was excited to receive this steamer, as I saw so many good reviews about it. Installation is not hard after reading the manual. It took a few minutes to heat up the water. In the manual, it said the it is ok that red light will be off now and then during the cleanning. However the lights constantly on and off, only 2-4 seconds interval. It turned out a lot of steam in the bathroom. and suddenly my smoke detecter was set off, and scared my 2 year old son. I had to close the bathroom door so the detector will not sense it. but after 30 minutes sweaty work, did not see any better becauase all surface is wet. have to use the paper towel to wipe it all.
BTW, the sound is very loud. Not good for self and family members.
I returned it. keep looking for good steam cleaner.
