My TV lasted a shade over 1-year before the digital tuner took a dirt nap. I was okay with the picture & sound quality for the price, but had I purchased it at the "Brand New" price I would have sent it back. The volume level on this TV is for crap. Always had the volume above 75 so we all could hear it. However, the picture quality is really good for the price. Since the TV still powers on, it will probably live the rest of it's life as a computer monitor, which by reading the posts from other reviewers the power supply won't be lasting too much longer.
I guess since it's so close to Black Friday, I'll wait to see if I can find another deal on a HDTV to replace this one. You can bet your butt that it won't be a Westinghouse/GE brand TV.

Purchased this t.v. for our daughter to play her Wii on. The television only worked for about 13 months before dying. Sincerely disappointed.

My unit failed after about 14 months in service of relatively light use. It appears to be the same power supply problem that has been reported throughout these reviews. I called the Westinghouse customer service group, provide the information they asked for & was told I would be contacted by a certified service technician within 2 to 3 days. NEVER received a call.

I opened up the unit & noticed a slightly "ballooned" capacitor which is the same one discussed in another of these reviews. Location CE105 which is the electrolytic radial polarized 2200 MFD 10V. I have on order a replacement capacitor & will see if that fixes the problem. I'm ordering a Panasonic 16V thinking that may protect against any slight overvoltages & am also ordering one rated at 7000 hours @105C versus the typical 2000 hour ratings. A CapXon capacitor was in my unit & they are not known for their reliability.

On the positive side: the image is excellent, the system supports a multitude of inputs, the analog tuner works perfectly.

On the negative side: the QAM tuner and the computer that selects the detected stations via the remote are flawed. I connected this TV to my cable without the cable box to watch the clear-QAM digital stations from my cable provider. Autoscan found all of them. But trying to use the remote to select the detected channels are so frustrating that I just stopped trying to use the digital tuner. As I installed two of these TVs and both had the identical problems, I suspect that there is a serious design flaw.

If your purpose for this TV is as a PC monitor, for connection to an antenna, for connection to a DVD or for connection to a cable box (either using the analog output [which makes no sense] or using the digital connections) this might be very acceptable. However, if your application is to use the TV to tune QAM signals, this is not the TV for you.

Westinghouse's tech support was so poorly trained that they did not even know what a QAM tuner was for.

Have returned mine. Proceed corefully.

After the warranty expires the tv goes dead. It took mine about 2 months after it expired. Here's how it happenes...TV is turned on; I try scrolling up a couple of channels; TV freezes; All of a sudden remote isn't working; I try pressing buttons on the TV itself which gives me the same result; Unplug and try to turn back on = dead. We have only used this thing in the winter months in our downstairs. After reading some reviews it seems that this is the common issue with this product. If you want to get rid of $250 fast, just take your money and throw it out your window. I will never again buy a product with the name Westinghouse on it. Westinghouse = Junk
