*This item was received a day or two before we left on an extended trip to Canada in our GMC 4500 Truck with trailer — intended to use it to power a small 1.5 amp. refrigerator. (1.5 x 110V =165 watts and this is a 400 watt unit. Hooked directly to the batteries, this unit would not start or run the refrig., so we had to leave the unit and the refrig. home.
Well, I just get home Aug. 5 and now find Amazon does not want to process the defective item at it is past the July 27 deadline. Of all the site Amazon makes for contact, NOT One have I found that can deal with this situation. I sent hardcopy to the Returns Center in Lexington and received no response.
So much for quality customer service. I know there are folks who will cheat on anyone, but what about us legit people who are just dealing with the everyday realities of life. You had better make sure not to buy from AMAZON again if you are going to be away from home for any period of time.
Life is too short to spend time on issues and sellers like this!!!*

My wife always said she prefered staying at home and watching the games on TV to going to the stadium. Now she can have the best of both worlds!
Seriously though; When I first got my season tickets I resolved to pick up a couple of items a year to enhance the tailgating experience. My wife got me the Fire and Ice grill for Christmas and I picked up the Xantex Power Inverter and then went shopping for an inexpensive TV at a yard sale. We used to bring a small set designed to keep kids occupied on long road trips and had to sit in the cab of my truck leaning together to watch. (OK for me and my wife, akward for me and my brother, downright unnerving for me and a friend of mine) Well, No more!! I can’t wait to set up this baby with a 20″ plus screen in the back. Here’s hoping for more late games this year so I can enjoy freezing in a parking lot watching the early game with large quantities of grilled meat!

Purchased unit with intend of running a portable DVD player for the kids, and a peaceful trip for me. Instead I got the opposite, as soon as I plugged the unit into Power Port I blew two 20 AMP fuses (on 2004 F-150) so I did the dumbest thing I wired it to the battery and short the battery out. So I’m out a battery and inverter at this point. Take my warning DO NOT BUY this piece of junk, you’ll feel better giving a homeless person $32.19 instead of dealing with disappointed kids.
