Yamaha YAS-71BL Front Surround System (Black)
I just needed something to enhance my Samsung LCD 650/52″ toc. this sound bar and woofer are very nice for what I wanted for my open floor plan/living room setting. This is just great for me, and the movies and sports sound much better now. As far as surround sound, of course not but definitely a significant difference. After reading many reviews of soundbars felt this was the way to go, and the best thing about it is the price. Definitely worth the price compared to others that dont even come close to the + reviews this one has. very pleased. Thanks Yamaha, and Amazon.com.(First time my daughter came over to watch Stanley Cup Playoffs, she said is it thundering???where is that noise coming from…it was the subwoofer…..very happy with this…

For price can’t beat performance. A lot more expensive unit out there but minimal difference from my POV. Great sound quality with HD program even though it is NOT HDMI capable.

Great speakers for a small space without running wires all over the room. Very easy set-up. For the money (299) it can’t be beat. FM tuner is a nice touch, and with multiple inputs I can run in XM from DIRECT TV separately without turning the TV on.

I really don’t make it a habit of reviewing products, but I am so pleased with this pseudo-5.1 sound system, I thought I would give the accolades it deserves. The sound is powerful, and loud. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I find the dialogue in the movies to be crisp and clear. I was hesitant to buy this system, because of a lack of HDMI switching, but the optical and coaxial cables suit me fine (granted I bought a universal remote, that now does all the switching for me). My PS3 never sounded better, and the high gloss finish looks beautiful. I was initially looking into the Sony HT-100, but after listening to it at Best Buy, I was very disappointed. So I had to start from scratch, until I ran across this soundbar system on Amazon. I’m not a technophile, but I do know what sounds good, and this is a great deal at under $300.

Great alternative to having lots of speakers everywhere. I wanted this for my bedroom. I didn’t mount it which if you mount your TV on the wall it would be better than perfect. I am waiting for someone with more skill to put my TV on the wall. The sound is great. The sub woofer could be a little louder. I had cranked it up. It does surround nicely. Sometimes I think I hear something going on in the living room and it is the surround just doing its thing. You can really hear the little things in the background of the movie that you would never hear with just the TV. It is very cool! Highly recommend these. I gave it 4 stars on features. It has plenty, but I wanted the IPOD dock and a DVD. It would be perfect if they didn’t make you spend another $50-$60 buck to buy a dock. I just use a cable. It should come with a dock. Really!
